Heart & Soul LLC "COMMUNITY EXCURSIONS" is committed to providing innovative services that allow each individual to participate in various meaningful activities and accomplish independent living skills in various community settings. We will offer opportunities for individuals to increase their skills in social awareness and to build meaningful relationships. We will support each individual in their ability to make informed decisions regarding their personal choices and support that provide resources for practical skill-building.
PHILOSOPHY
Heart & Soul LLC "COMMUNITY EXCURSIONS" is a For-Profit organization that will provide Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services for individuals who qualify and have a primary mental health diagnosis and other related service needs. Heart & Soul LLC "COMMUNITY EXCURSIONS" believes that each individual receiving service shall be empowered to increase their ability to enhance their level of personal independence.
PROGRAM GOALS
1. To provide supports that help individuals feel and become empowered to make choices that promote self-direction, self-esteem, and personal accomplishment.
2. To advocate for an equal voice and a shared vision for individuals who have a lot to give but are often not given the opportunity to share their gift.
3. To recognize individuals' talents in helping them reach their desired outcomes instead of focusing on their inabilities, which will help eliminate the stereotypical barriers that individuals with intellectual disabilities often face.
